Book a SessionWhat Is an Infrared Sauna?
Infrared saunas use infrared light to warm your body directly instead of heating the air around you. The result is a deeper sweat at a more tolerable temperature, which makes it easier to stay in long enough to actually get the benefit. Our sauna at Defiant also includes an additional traditional heater — so if you prefer the higher heat of a classic Finnish-style session, the cabin can climb up to around 200°F.
As your core temperature rises, your body responds the way it would to moderate exercise: your heart rate increases, blood vessels dilate, and you start to sweat. Research suggests this thermoregulatory response may support recovery, cardiovascular conditioning, sleep quality, and stress regulation.
Our sauna seats up to three people comfortably, so you can use it solo or bring a friend. Most sessions run 30–45 minutes.
How Infrared Sauna Works
Direct, Penetrating Heat
Infrared light warms your body directly, so the heat reaches deeper into your tissue. Our hybrid cabin can run as an infrared-only session or crank up to around 200°F with a traditional heater for a classic Finnish-style sweat.
Cardiovascular Response
As your core temperature rises, your heart rate climbs and blood vessels dilate — a response similar to moderate-intensity exercise. Research suggests regular sauna use may support cardiovascular conditioning over time.
Sweat & Circulation
A deep sweat does more than cool you down. Increased circulation may help deliver nutrients to tissues, support skin health, and aid the body’s natural detoxification pathways through sweat.
Recovery & Downshift
After the heat, the body shifts into a parasympathetic, restorative state. Many people use sauna in the evening to wind down, support sleep quality, and recover from training.
Benefits of Infrared Saunas
Heat therapy is one of the most studied wellness modalities in the world, and regular sauna use is associated with a wide range of potential benefits. People come in for different reasons, but these are the most common:

- + Cardiovascular conditioning and circulation
- + Stress regulation and parasympathetic recovery
- + Sleep quality and evening wind-down
- + Skin health and a deep, productive sweat
- + Detoxification support through sweat
